Businessworld recently did a story on – “Tools At Your Service – Get the right technology to monitor and analyse online conversations”.
Rajesh Lalwani, described the three kinds of tools — those that track conversations, those that set benchmarks and those that are essentially visualisation tools. Here is his comment on the need for developing the next level of social tools:
“Unfortunately, all these three categories of tools are working independently, each type of tool pulls data differently, results don’t match up, and this makes the task even more complicated. The next level of development for social tools is going to be simplifying these tools. How do you get the benefits of what each tool finds and combine it in a way that is simple and integrated and more manageable without losing the richness of the data.”
